4/28/21 update

Hi everyone! Ritchie has been transferred to a subacute facility and thankfully his heart has been a little more stable now.  The therapists and doctors have started working closely with Ritchie and he has been able to sit with assistance for short periods of time.  He has also started showing a little more movement in his arms and right hand. Although these may seem like small little things, these are HUGE signs of progress for Ritchie. πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™πŸ» The road to recovery is long, but we are so full of hope and seeing him give it his all during his therapy sessions gives us reassurance that he is continuing to fight. We know that little by little he will begin to follow more commands and become more conscious. So please, continue to pray for him. πŸ™πŸ» Thank you all for the support and ongoing prayers. We can truly see the love for Ritchie and my family. ♥️

4/15 Prayers Needed!

Hi friends and family, Ritchie started having tachycardia since yesterday and today it has gotten worse. His heart is working hard and it’s beating way too fast. He also has some issues with his breathing and it’s causing a lot of distress. We ask you to please help us pray for him. We need God to intervene and give him the comfort and peace that he needs right now.  We need God to illuminate these doctors to find what the issue is and to find the right treatment for his condition. We know that God is with Ritchie and we are holding tight to our faith. If you have a moment, please elevate a prayer for him. He needs immediate intervention at this time. πŸ™πŸ»

4/13/21 More movement

Today, Ritchie was able to lift his head for our mom. He is slowly showing more movement and we are praying to see this in all 4 extremities! πŸ™πŸ» His vitals have been stable at this point. We can see that Ritchie is really trying to respond every day and we are so grateful to God because we know he hasn’t left Ritchies side. Please help us to continue to pray for Ritchie. We know that soon, he will be back with us, completely healed!

4/11/21 update

Hi everyone, Ritchie is continuing to make small progress and it’s all moving in the right direction.  πŸ™πŸ» He can open and close his eyes, and is able to tract and follow people with his eyes.    He is still not able to follow commands and we are waiting for more movement and for his brain to rewire properly.  He has had a blood transfusion of 2 units and his hemoglobin did begin to raise a little. They are monitoring this closely and will determine if he needs to receive another transfusion. He is also getting another test done due to a non-occlusive clot in his left arm, and to rule out anything serious. Please help us continue to pray for his hemoglobin levels, clot, alertness, for him to regain conciseness, and his overall health and mental state. Thank you everyone for your support!  πŸ™πŸ»❤️

4/6/21 Ritchie opened his eyes

Our hearts are overflowing with joy right now! Ritchie has opened his eyes and has slowly began tracking!!!  He is starting to follow objects that are placed in front of him!  πŸ™ŒπŸΌπŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜ All Glory to God!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ We know that God is doing amazing things in Ritchies life & soon we will see movement in his body! This is HUGE PROGRESS and we are soooooo thankful with our Lord for this miracle! πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸΌ Please, now more than ever, let’s elevate fervent prayers for Ritchie.  God is at work!!!!!  We declare a perfect healing in the name of Jesus!!! Thank you everyone for your prayers!!  πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

4/5/2021 Update

hi friends and family, Ritchie has continued to maintain his oxygen levels well on his own with minimal help from the O2 mask. They took out his EVD last night (little tube in his head that was draining the cerebral spinal fluid) because he has been able to keep his intracranial pressure within range and there was no more blood coming out. He is still having many secretions from the pneumonia so please continue to pray for his lung to heal quickly. He is also still having fevers so please pray for his temperature to be able to regulate itself. He is completely off sedation and we are waiting for him to wake up more. Tonight when Adaly visited him, we got news that he was able to open his eyes and keep them open for a little while!!! This is exciting news and gives us hope that he is progressing in the right direction. Please continue to pray for comfort and healing over Ritchie's life. Thank you

4/4/21 update

Ritchie has managed to be breathing on his own with his trach and oxygen mask. No ventilator has been needed and he’s managing well. His vitals are stable. He has very little movement but does react to pain. He is not fully awake yet, but he can hear us when we visit. We keep praying for Ritchie to wake up and start interaction. We know God continues to work in him!

4/1/21 update

Ritchie had another angiogram today. The surgeons said there is no new bleed and no vasospasms were observed. The aneurysm that was coiled has a small area that needs intervention and they also have to come up with an intervention plan for the outstanding aneurysm. Right now the goal is to get him out of the critical state Ritchie is in, in order to proceed with any other surgeries. Please continue to pray for Ritchie. He needs to remain stable and wake up so that he can show the doctors that he is able to follow commands. God is working & God is in control of Ritchies life.
